Expo Riva Hotel Academy: experience and knowledge will guide the evolution of the sector

Ideas, inspirations, suggestions and visions: these are the ingredients of the fairs of the future, and this is the essence of Expo Riva Hotel.

Scheduled from 3 to 6 February at the Riva del Garda Exhibition Centre (TN), this is most comprehensive Italian exhibition dedicated to the hospitality and catering sector, anticipating the change and welcoming 2019 with one of its highlights, Expo Riva Hotel Academy.

Thanks to this project with an ambitious name, synonymous with culture and higher education, Expo Riva Hotel aims to go beyond the ordinary concept of fair and chooses to decline its varied exhibition offer in three thematic initiatives: Hotel Management, RPM - Riva Pianeta Mixology and Solobirra (lit: Beer only).

 "A flywheel of experience and knowledge, the Academy package is the trait d'union that the HO.RE.CA. sector still lacks". - points out Carla Costa, Head of the Fairs Area of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, - "the market, the operators and the most innovative frontiers of hospitality can now communicate easily through initiatives like this, capable of combining exhibition, learning and networking".

Hotel Management is driven by the creation of a high quality professional network, within which change is encouraged through interacting and sharing. An all-round, itinerant and non-stop training is the main component of this format, which has the peculiarity of going beyond the physical frontiers of the fair, taking the Expo Riva Hotel brand around Italy and firmly linking it to the diffusion of technical knowledge in the sector.

A mainstay of Hotel Management, the 2019 edition of the fair is confirmed. Thanks to the collaboration with Teamwork, on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, about fifty business-to-business educational meetings will be held on themes ranging from web marketing to revenue management, from big data management to design and hotel restructuring.

Certainly, technical training is also the focus of RPM - Riva Pianeta Mixology, the thematic area dedicated to mixed drinks that, alongside an exhibition offer of 39 spirit-producing companies, will make its debut with 5 master classes between Monday and Wednesday. Led by real ambassadors of mixology such as Leonardo Veronesi, Flavio Angiolillo, Gianni Zottola, Samuele Ambrosi and Claudio Peri, the RMP appointments are going to be passionate, creative and competent, features they share with their speakers, who are well known and recognized at both national and international level.

Passion, creativity and competence are also among the main ingredients of Solobirra (lit: Beer Only), the third special project offered by the Academy. Solobirra's innovative format, which has been repeated for the fourth consecutive year, has earned the trust and confidence of its audience. On the occasion of the 43rd Expo Riva Hotel, 42 breweries will be exhibiting in the area, 253 beers will be entered in the Solobirra 2019 technical competition, and 166 labels will be competing for Best Label, the new contest dedicated to beer packaging. To confirm the soundness of the initiative in 2019, the event will be lead by two well-known pioneers, Teo Musso and Agostino Arioli, always attentive to the value of sector training. With their support, Musso and Arioli officially recognize the importance of Solobirra as a tool for spreading the culture of craft beer.

In a world where trade fairs can no longer be limited to mere product reviews, Expo Riva Hotel, scheduled in the Trentino region at the Riva del Garda Exhibition Centre from 3 to 6 February 2019, anticipates future trends. With Expo Riva Hotel Academy, it officially recognizes the importance of experience and knowledge for the evolution of the hospitality and catering sector, which is increasingly oriented towards emotional and immaterial factors.
